My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. The location was perfect, right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of the boardwalk and restaurants. However, the appliances in the room were outdated. The hotel offered great value for the price paid.

As soon as I walked into this room, I found it badly outdated with no bathtub, only a small shower with black mold on the ceiling. The Surfside Motorlodge offers awesome service, with clean bedding, a nice TV, and convenience to the wonderful things Carolina Beach has to offer. The location is simply awesome, right on the beach with enough parking and great beach access, making it easy to overlook some negative aspects. Dining at Gulfstream was pleasant, serving light snacks from 7:30 to 10. The facilities are decent, though not top-notch. The price is reasonable for what you get.

On a weekend vacation whim to the beach, I found that the hotel's location was absolutely perfect, right on the beach and at the end of the new elevated and well-lit boardwalk. The front desk staff was nice, and it offered a delightful place for a night walk, hearing the surf, and walking out on the soft sands of the famous Carolina Beach. However, the room smelled a bit and I had to buy air fresheners.
